Bucks vs Heat NBA Preview
We all know what happened last time the Heat played — and no, Bam Adebayo's over/under is not 83.5 points.
In fact, my colleague Brandon Kravitz likes him to stay under 22.5 points tonight — but as for me, I'll take a slightly different approach to the under 83.5 angle.
The Bucks have historically been one of the Heat's main rivals over the last seven years, even if both teams are no longer at the top of the East.
As of this writing, the Heat are the sixth seed, tied with Orlando for fifth — though the Magic own that tiebreaker — and the Raptors are 0.5 games back, in seventh.
Milwaukee stands at 5.5 games behind Charlotte at 11th for a spot in the play-in.
The Bucks have yet to pack it in, but barring an unforeseen run, it appears all but over for their 2026 playoff chances.
Miami does have a list of injuries to monitor again tonight.
Norman Powell (groin), Andrew Wiggins (toe), and Nikola Jovic (back) are all out.
Tyler Herro (quad) and Kel'el Ware (shoulder) — both of whom sat for Bam's 83-point game against the Wizards — are questionable to play tonight.
For Milwaukee, Kevin Porter Jr. (knee) has been upgraded to questionable after missing four straight games.
Bobby Portis (back) and Jericho Sims (back) are also questionable for the Bucks tonight.
Bucks vs Heat Predictions, Betting Analysis
This is a tough matchup for Jaime Jaquez Jr.
He's a slasher, and Milwaukee's defense is built for shooters to exploit.
The Bucks allow the fourth-fewest two-point attempts and fourth-most three-point attempts per 100 possessions.
Milwaukee is a better matchup, for I don't know, say Tyler Herro — who loves his pull-up jumper.
This is just a very high number that doesn't seem to factor in enough the possibility of Ware and Herro playing.
In seven career games vs. Milwaukee, Jaquez hasn't even crossed 14 points.
Pick: Jaime Jaquez Jr. Under 18.5 Points (-107)
