This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Los Angeles Lakers (4-3) visit the Memphis Grizzlies (4-4) on Wednesday, tipping off at 8 p.m. from the FedExForum in Memphis. The game will be broadcast on League Pass.

The Lakers are -1.5 point underdogs against the Grizzlies on the spread, with the over/under currently at 231 points. The Lakers are +120 to win outright, while the Grizzlies are at -142 at DraftKings.

Let's dive into my Lakers vs. Grizzlies predictions and NBA picks for Wednesday, November 6.

Lakers vs. Grizzlies Picks and Predictions

Moneyline

The Grizzlies are -142 at DraftKings and barely favored at home, so this is near pick'em territory. Memphis is 2-2 at home while the Lakers are 1-3 straight-up on the road. Our tracking data has Memphis getting 49% of bets and 52% of the money as of this writing.

I'll take the Lakers here. Memphis is understandably favored at home, but it's going to be very really short-handed tonight. Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, GG Jackson and Vince Williams Jr. all remain out. Anthony Davis is questionable, Austin Reaves and D'Angelo Russell are probable, although Rui Hachimura is doubtful due to an illness. Still, the Lakers have the cleaner injury report of the two teams.

Assuming Davis is in, which we're doing, I like them at +120 on DraftKings on the moneyline.

Spread

The Lakers are 4-3 against the spread (ATS) this season while Memphis is 3-5. At home, though, we're seeing a slight improvement from Memphis — no surprise — with a 2-2 record ATS. The Lakers are just 1-3 ATS on the road with the second-worst ATS plus minus in the league at -10.4. Only the banged up New Orleans Pelicans are worse.

With that, I'm going to avoid the spread and put my bet on the Lakers to simply win outright.

Over/Under

Memphis is 5-3 to the over and the Lakers 4-3 to the over this season. The Lakers are 2-2 to the over in their four road games this season, which is the same record that the Grizzlies have at home this season. With that, I'm passing on betting this total.

Pick: Lakers ML +110

Lakers vs. Grizzlies Preview

The big thing to watch in this game will be Davis — if he plays. He's off to an incredible start to the season with an NBA-leading 32.6 points per game with 11.6 rebounds and three steals. For fantasy players, he's also generating 3.3 stocks per game. Simply put, he has been a machine for the Lakers and would be a big miss.

Davis has an absurd 126 offensive rating. That generally isn't indicative of excellence always but it tracks with the eye test in this case, as does his offensive box plus minus, which sits at 7.2 and win shares per 48 minutes at .241.

Davis simply looks dominant. He's wrecking opponents in the paint and drawing contact repeatedly, which gets him an average of 12 free throws per game that he's making at a nearly 80% clip. Given his form, over 28.5 points might not be a bad look.

Lakers vs. Grizzlies Prediction, Parlay

As I said earlier, I lean Lakers here, and I'm interested in Davis' points over, as well. Parlaying the two could get you close to +300 on the market given that Los Angeles are underdogs in Memphis.

Pick: Lakers ML +118 (FanDuel)

Lakers ML & Anthony Davis Over 29.5 Points (+238, DraftKings)
