Indiana Pacers vs Charlotte Hornets Preview

The Hornets shook off a bad first quarter to outscore the Suns 94-66 in the final three stanzas — winning by a score of 127-107 to jump in front of the Magic and Heat in the Eastern Conference standings, who are positioned 9th and 10th right now, respectively.

Charlotte is 1.5 games out of the 6-seed, where the 76ers and Raptors are currently tied. The Hornets have a tiebreaker over Toronto, but not Philly.

The Suns will likely wind up with the 7-seed — now sitting 5.5 games behind the Timberwolves and 2.5 games ahead of the Trail Blazers.

PJ Hall (ankle) is the only Hornets player listed as inactive as of Friday morning.

For the Pacers, Andrew Nembhard (back), Aaron Nesmith (neck), TJ McConnell (hamstring), Ivica Zubac (rib), Johnny Furphy (ACL), Jarace Walker (back) and Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) are all out tonight — while Obi Toppin (foot) and Pascal Siakam (knee) are listed as probable.

Pacers vs Hornets Picks, Betting Predictions

Moussa Diabate recorded 11 rebounds and four assists against the Pacers back in late February — and he's gone over this line in two of his last three matchups against Indiana.

In general, he's gone over this line in 12-of-19 since returning from his suspension in late February.

Diabate isn't a consistent stat-sheet stuffer, but this is somewhat of a buy-low spot. He's gone over 11.5 RA in two of his last three games on the second half of a back-to-back as well.

He will also have a favorable matchup on the glass given all the injuries to Indiana's frontcourt.

The Pacers will heavily rely on Jay Huff, Jalen Slawson and Micah Potter on the glass, even with Siakam probable — and that's good news for Diabate.
