This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Los Angeles Clippers (15-12) and Dallas Mavericks (17-9) face off in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET from the American Airlines Center Arena in Dallas, Texas. The game will broadcast live on NBA League Pass.

The Mavericks are 1-point favorites over the Clippers on the spread (Mavs -1), with the over/under set at 216.5 total points. Dallas is a -115 favorite to win outright, while Los Angeles is -105 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Clippers vs. Mavericks predictions and NBA picks for Thursday, December 19.

Clippers vs. Mavericks Prediction, Picks

Spread

Hard pass for me. The Mavs are going to be without Luka Doncic, and Kyrie Irving is questionable to play.

Despite that, Dallas is 5-1 without Luka this season, with their last three games ending in double-digit victories.

Moneyline

Pass also. Clippers or nothing, and I don't really want the Clippers here either.

Over/Under

My Mavericks vs. Clippers best bet was originally going to be on the under at 225.5, before Doncic got ruled out with an injury. However, I like it less now.

The Mavericks have scored 118 or more in five of six without Doncic. Though, the Clippers are 22nd in pace and seventh in defense.

I'd still like to lean under, but it's more of a stay away from me until we get clarity on the injury report, especially given that the number has dropped to 223.5 in most places. If you are betting the total, make sure to shop for the best line using our live NBA odds page.

Instead, I will be targeting a Mavericks player prop to help fill the void left behind by Doncic, by taking PJ Washington to record over 23.5 points + rebounds in tonight's contest.

My Pick: PJ Washington Over 23.5 Points + Rebounds (-105)

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks NBA Thursday Preview

Prior to Luka getting ruled out, I played PJ Washington over 11.5 points, which was -120 on FanDuel.

Following the injury news regarding Doncic though, Washington's line is listed at 15.5 points. In Mavericks' games without Doncic, Washington is averaging 19.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

I'm playing him over 22.5 points + rebounds at -120 on DraftKings, which he has cleared in five of six without Doncic this season.

Clippers vs. Mavericks Predictions, Best Bets

In general, the former Hornet is in a great rhythm, and this is a great spot for him in the absence of Luka.

Over his last 10, Washington is hitting 49.1% from the field at 11.2 attempts per game during this stretch, with four of those attempts per game coming from long range, where he's 46.3%. And he's close to four free throw attempts per contest, where he's converting about 78%.

Without Doncic, Washington is shooting 13.5 times per game at ridiculous 51/53/89 shooting splits.

For my same game parlay, I also like Naji Marshall in this spot, who I played at over 12.5 points on FanDuel.

In five of six games without Doncic, Marshall has gone over, including four 20-point performances.

Best Bet: PJ Washington Over 23.5 Points + Rebounds

Mavericks vs. Clippers Parlay Picks

  • PJ Washington Over 23.5 Points + Rebounds
  • Naji Marshall Over 12.5 Points

Parlay Payout: +238
