The Atlanta Hawks (34-31) will host the Brooklyn Nets (17-48) in the NBA on Thursday night. Tipoff from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on FDSSE and NBA League Pass.

The Hawks are 15.5-point favorites over the Nets on the spread (Hawks -15.5), with the over/under set at 226 total points. Atlanta is a -1100 favorite to win outright on the moneyline, while Brooklyn is +700 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Nets vs. Hawks predictions and NBA picks for Thursday, March 12.

Nets vs Hawks NBA Thursday Preview

The Hawks will host the Nets tonight, and Brooklyn is one of those teams that can certainly give up a big performance.

I like Jalen Johnson's Points + Rebounds + Assists combo line at 41.5, but only if Jonathan Kuminga sits — so, I’m not playing it quite yet.

This is a wait-and-see situation with the injury report.

I’m not saying Johnson is going to go for a triple-double, but he’s had some big games lately.

He had 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists against Philadelphia — and he had 26, 12, and 4 against Brooklyn a few weeks ago.

Johnson has also posted some big rebounding games recently, and the assists have always been pretty consistent.

He’s finished around 10 assists in four straight games. He did have zero in the game before that, but that’s because he left early.

If Dyson Daniels sits as he’s expected to, that would matter — but this bet is more about whether or not Kuminga will play.

Nets vs Hawks Picks, Best Bets

The Nets are sinking ship right now; they are beginning to sit guys when they don't necessarily need to.

Egor Demin is now done for the season, not that he would be a huge factor on the boards for Johnson, but it’s another sign of where this Brooklyn team is headed.

The Nets are also resting Nolan Traoré, one of their rookie first-round picks.

This is also pretty big for the rebounding angle: Day’Ron Sharpe isn’t expected to play, and Michael Porter Jr. is out.

I did consider playing the Points + Rebounds line, but Johnson is the type of player who can contribute across the board, so I'll take Over 41.5 PRA.
