About Carol

Carol Schram has been handicapping the NHL for The Action Network since 2021. She uses more than 20 years of experience collecting live game data to help uncover value plays in the betting market. Schram also writes for The Hockey News and Forbes SportsMoney.

Experience

Schram started collecting live NHL game data in the days of dial-up before Connor McDavid was born. A quarter-century of detailed viewings has given her deep insight into a generation's worth of player tendencies, game situations and trends -- all valuable tools when it's time to size up each day's betting lines.

Ten years ago, Carol added hockey writing to her toolbox. Assignment highlights have included the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoff bubble in Edmonton, five IIHF World Championships in Europe and writing the Connor Bedard cover story for the 2023 Draft Preview issue of The Hockey News.

Education

Schram earned a B.A. in English and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.
