Education
Fonseca is a 2016 graduate of St. Francis College in Brooklyn. He was the sports editor of the student newspaper "SFC Today," and later worked in the athletics department as the Assistant Sports Information Director until 2018.
Experience
Since breaking into the sports media industry in 2014, Fonseca has worn different hats at different types of outlets. While in college, he began to secure freelance gigs, including a role at the BQE Media Newspaper Group as a sports reporter and columnist, covering college and high school sports, along with boxing and mixed martial arts.
Around that same time, he covered the Brooklyn Nets beat for SB Nation, hosted on-air live betting and fantasy programming for MSG Networks as part of a DraftKings sponsorship, hosted the Ain't Hard to Tell podcast that covered sports and hip-hop, and started a web series named "Side Hustle" that won several independent film festival awards.
After spending the early portion of the pandemic writing a novel, he returned to betting content by becoming an on-air host with FanDuel, while also covering the NBA and international hoops at BasketballNews.com.
