The Best NFL Stadiums for Families

The NFL season is just around the corner and fans across the country are getting ready to show up at the stadium to support their teams. But for some fans across the country, that commitment can have a big impact on their wallet. We took a look at the average cost of a family of four to attend a game at each NFL stadium to determine which are the most and least family friendly. We included data regarding ticket prices, the price of food and beverages, as well as parking at every stadium to see which are the most and least expensive for a family to catch a game at.

Cheapest Stadiums for Families

The Arizona Cardinals’ State Farm Stadium ranks as the best for families. Thanks in part to being the only remaining team with an average ticket value under $100, a family of four can take in a Cards game for an average of $452.46, the cheapest of any stadium. Their food and drink costs all rank within the cheapest third of the league and parking in Glendale is the third cheapest of any stadium.

Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati is the second most affordable arena. While beers are cheaper at Bengals games than in Arizona, everything else ticks up slightly. Paycor Stadium still has the second lowest average ticket price and among the cheapest parking in the league.

While it costs a little more to go see the Atlanta Falcons play, once you get inside, Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the cheapest place to take in a game. While their ticket prices rank outside the top 10 most affordable, parking in Atlanta sits in the top five most affordable, and they have the cheapest beer, soft drinks, and hot dogs in the NFL. You can buy four hot dogs at a Falcons game for the same price as one hot dog while watching the Chargers, Bears, or Buccaneers.

The Detroit Lions are the best team a family can go see for less than $500. The reigning NFC North champs went 12-5 last season before making it to the conference championship game. To see Dan Campbell and Co. a family spends an average of $496.18, sixth best in the league. The Miami Dolphins are the 2023 playoff team that is cheapest to see, with a family spending $480.80 on average, the third best price in the league.

Most Expensive Stadiums for Families

San Francisco 49ers fans are the ones whose wallet’s hurt most after going to a game. A family of four spends $750.65 at Levi Stadium, with $645.32 going towards tickets alone. That is the second highest average ticket price of any team, and one of only two teams to charge over $150 per ticket. Levi Stadium is also home of the most expensive beer in the NFL, with two of them costing $24.

The highest ticket price is the Las Vegas Raiders, the second most expensive team to see in general. Four tickets to catch the Silver and Black in person costs $675.32 on average. Once inside the stadium things get more affordable however, with the second lowest average soft drink and hot dog prices.

Gillette Stadium is the only NFL arena to offer free game day parking options, yet still ranks as the fifth most expensive stadium in the league. That is largely due to having the third most expensive tickets, with a four pack costing $570.96.

MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and New York Jets, ranked as both the 11th cheapest and 13th most expensive stadium to attend. While concession prices stay the same regardless of which team is playing, both ticket and parking prices go up when the Giants are at home. Thanks to this, it costs over $55 more per family to see the G-Men than the Jets.

The Buccaneers have more affordable tickets than a number of teams, but once inside Raymond James Stadium is when the wallets start to groan. The most expensive soft drinks and hot dogs in the NFL can be found in Tampa.

Methodology

All prices were scraped from Team Marketing Report’s 2023 NFL Fan Cost Index. We added up the cost of four general tickets, two beers, two soft drinks, four hot dogs and parking. We looked on the website of each stadium to source the child admission policy.
