  • The Action Labs Player Props tool has clear edges on three running backs in Week 3.
  • All three RBs play at 4:25 p.m. ET, and two are on the same team.
  • Check out how our projections show value on Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson and Aaron Jones.

The Action Labs Player Props tool uses projections from our experts to find edges for you in the betting game.

This week, I took a look at the numbers and found three noteworthy running backs whose projections stood out against their betting lines.

NFL Week 3 Player Props

Cam Akers
Under 10.5 Receiving Yards

Sean Koerner is on Akers’ receptions under, so I’ll turn my attention to the receiving yards. Akers is projected for just 6.6 receiving yards, which means this picks goes hand in hand with his 1.5 receptions total.

Darrell Henderson handles the passing-down work for the Rams, and this game against the Cardinals could be of the high-scoring variety. Los Angeles plays at a fast pace and doesn’t substitute much during drives. If the Rams find themselves trying to play keep-up with Kyler Murray, expect Henderson to see most of the work.

Akers was nonexistent in Week 1 then re-emerged a bit in Week 2, but this is clearly a volatile backfield. Don’t expect Akers to catch more than two balls or get double-digit receiving yards.

Darrell Henderson
Over 36.5 Rushing Yards

Action Labs loves Darrell Henderson this week.

Labs projects the other Rams RB for 47 rushing yards this week. His total is 38.5 at most books, and as low at 36.5 at BetMGM as of 11:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.

As I mentioned above, this Rams backfield is going to be inconsistent. While Akers won the plaudits for just being involved last week, Henderson ran for 47 more yards on 4.7 yards per carry.

Henderson has 23 carries this season. If he hits double digits, you’d expect him to clear 36.5. He’s projected for 47 yards and has had 47 yards in each of the first two games. He’s the Rams RB I’m going to trust for an over if I’m going to trust one.

Aaron Jones
Under 11.5 Rushing Attempts

When Davante Adams was traded to the Raiders, the thought was Jones would turn into even more of a receiving threat than he already was for the Packers, which was saying something.

Well, he’s been targeted eight times in two games and only has 20 carries. Fifteen of those came last week against the Bears.

While Jones is crushing it on the ground this season with 20 carries for a staggering 181 yards, he is going to be needed in the passing game more this week than usual. Sammy Watkins is out, and every noteworthy Packers receiver who isn’t Romeo Doubs has also spent time on the injury report.

Jones and Randall Cobb are likely to be the only proven receivers for Aaron Rodgers on Sunday. I expect Jones to spend more of his time passing catches while A.J. Dillon handles the majority of work in the ground game.
