Fanatics Fair Play was in effect for Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday, as Tyrese Haliburton left in the first half and played only seven total minutes because of what's being reported as an Achilles injury.
Any Fanatics player prop bets for Haliburton were refunded in cash, unless they were already recorded as a win. If one had a Haliburton prop as part of a parlay, the rest of the bet would've still played out. Any bet settled before the injury remained as a win.
Last night's instance was the most wagers and most customers to ever be impacted by a Fair Play event (50K+ wagers impacted and 35K+ users benefited). There were 6,977 payouts that would've been $0 without Fair Play.
Most notably a +3150 five-leg parlay was saved by Fair Play, as the $2,250.75 wager ended up cashing for $42,764.25.
- Pascal Siakam Over 1.5 3-Pointers Made
- SGA Over 6.5 Assists
- Alex Caruso Over 9.5 Points
- Lu Dort Over 1.5 3-Points Made
The final leg was Haliburton to record over 15.5 points.
This Fair Play policy came into effect during the NBA regular season whenever a player was injured during the first quarter. In the NBA playoffs, that was extended to the first half.
Haliburton left the game in the first quarter last night and never returned, as the severity of the injury was noticeable almost immediately.
All-time payouts from Fair Play from the 2024-25 season have now eclipsed $9M+ ($5M+ in the NBA alone), including 500K+ wagers. There have been 71 Fair Play events throughout the NBA season, and 320K+ wagers have benefited from the installation of it.
Just from the NBA Playoffs, payouts from Fair Play came to $2.5M+ (160K+ wagers), as there were 14 Fair Play events, including this Game 7 on Sunday.
