The Wednesday nightcap on national television features a Pacific Division tilt between first-place Calgary and Anaheim.

This is the fourth meeting between these teams, with the Flames earning a 6-2 win the last time they met.

That said, will we see another high-scoring affair or can the goaltending step up this time? Let's take a look below to see where we can find betting value.

Calgary Flames

The Flames enter this contest following Monday night's 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings. The game was yet another low-scoring affair for Calgary, which has seen six or fewer goals scored in eight of their last 13 games.

Part of the reason for these low-scoring contests has been the very underrated Flames blue line. This season, they rank fourth in the league in 5-on-5 expected goals against per 60 minutes.  Over their last 13 games, Calgary is allowing just 2.62 goals scored per outing. Jacob Markstrom is the projected starting goaltender for this matchup and has been in good form of late.

Markstrom has allowed two or fewer goals in eight of his last 12 starts, posting an excellent 0.922 save percentage during that stretch. There have been six or fewer total goals scored in eight of those 12 starts.

Anaheim Ducks

Much like Calgary, Anaheim has seen many low-scoring contests of late as there have been six or fewer total goals scored in six of their last eight games. The team's offense has been dreadful and will struggle against an outstanding Calgary defense.

The Ducks are averaging just two goals scored per game over their last eight contests. This season, Anaheim ranks just 19th in the league in 5-on-5 expected goals for per 60 minutes.

On the flip side, Anaheim's blue line has done a good job in front of Gibson. Over its last four games, Anaheim is allowing just three goals scored per game.

While that isn't great, it's not bad either. If Anaheim can hold Calgary to four or less goals, then I think the under is very alive as I don't think Anaheim will score more than two goals.

Flames vs. Ducks Pick

With Anaheim's offense starting to really fall off the tracks, I expect Markstrom to have a strong performance. While Calgary is known for a good offense, it's averaging just 2.5 goals scored over their last four games.

I don't think this total will dip under six goals, but if it does, I wouldn't play this at 5.5 goals.

Pick: Total Under 6 Goals (-115)
