Dan Tom is a betting contributor for The Action Network's MMA team. He started betting MMA while still actively competing over 10 years ago and has been producing betting content for podcasts and multiple platforms since 2017. Before joining Action in 2022, he worked for Flo Combat, MMA Oddschecker and LineMovement.com. He also currently writes for MMAJunkie.com.
Experience
Tom brings a bevy of hands-on experience that he parlays into accurate analysis when it comes to things like prop plays and methods of victory. As someone who fought and competed in multiple martial arts, he offers an incredibly well-informed perspective that includes his own unique statistics. After kicking off his career by starting his own MMA website (MixedMartialAnalyst.com) and launching The Protect Ya' Neck Podcast, Tom is psyched to be creating content for The Action Network.
Education
Tom received an Associate of Arts degree from the College of Southern Nevada. When he grew tired of working for banks and crunching numbers in the corporate world, he committed himself to furthering his studies of MMA by working with world-class fighters and coaches for over a decade. Since starting his martial arts journey back in 1992, Tom has attained black belts in taekwondo and kenpo karate. He is currently a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and a purple stripe in catch wrestling under Neil Melanson.
