Heat vs. Hornets Odds & Betting Predictions - April 14, 2026

Bam has been running hot with an 84% assist conversion rate over his last 7 games, driven heavily by teammates like Simone, Larsson, and Mitchell all shooting well above expectation off his passes. All three are at 3+ assists over expected over the last 7 games on Bam passes. That’s just not sustainable. With the regular season over and defenses tightening up, this is the perfect spot to sell high. I’m projecting him closer to 3.2 assists with around a 59% chance to stay under 3.5.

The Charlotte Hornets face off against the Miami Heat in the 9/10 matchup for the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament. I’ll be targeting a key scorer off the bench for the Hornets. Coby has been excellent since joining the fold and is averaging 15.6 ppg in 19.3 minutes. He's a microwave scorer and a zone buster because of his 3 point shooting. He's scored at least 11 in 14 straight games as well. This is a Win or go home spot here and I think we see the Hornets really push with whatever lineup is working. However, he should certainly still see at least 15 minutes but I’d project closer to 20. The scenario just gives him greater upside if one of the starters is struggling or if he gets hot.

IT’S 3PM SOMEWHERE!!

I think we might be getting the smallest of discounts on the Hornets because of the way they ended the regular season, 1-2 in their final 3 leaves a sour taste in people’s mouths. But I think when you look @ the bigger picture, the gap between these 2 teams is pretty significant. Last 60 days, the Hornets rank 2nd in net rating with 11.5, the Heat are 16th at a 2.1. Now, I don’t think the gap is quite that far, but I do think it tells a better story than what we’ve seen most recently. And it’s a great matchup for Charolotte, they are a great rebounding team across the board, and Miami falls in love with the 3-ball, which is a low-percentage shot – Charlotte has dominated the glass in this matchup recently. The last 2 against Miami, the only two this season that Moussa Diabate started, Charlotte pulled down 33% and 30% of the available offensive rebounds and generated an above average number of points off of their own misses. If Miami isn’t lights out from 3…I think this game gets away from them, quickly.
