Anthony joined The Action Network as a contributor in March 2020, just days before the sports world shut down due to COVID-19. He's covered European soccer for Action since the German Bundesliga returned in May 2020 and recently joined the college sports and baseball verticals in the summer of 2021. He's been regularly betting those sports for years and when he's not betting on sports, he's probably reading about electoral politics.
Education
Anthony attended Syracuse University, where he majored in broadcast journalism and policy studies, and graduated in 2021. He's been a sportswriter and broadcaster since he was 16, when he started writing about Philadelphia-area high school basketball and then covered Syracuse Athletics in college for The Daily Orange, the independent student newspaper. He worked with the Chatham Anglers as a writer and social media intern in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2019.

Favorite Bet of All-Time
Bayern 8, Barcelona 2: The 2020 Champions League quarterfinal was one of the worst losses in Barcelona club history. I had Bayern every way imaginable, along with many of my close childhood friends that I watched and bet the game with, some of which barely knew soccer. I won bets on Bayern's team total, won live bets on Bayern after Barca tied it at one. Beat the close by 20 cents on Bayern's opening ML and also won on alternate spreads. Outside of the 2020 Presidential election, it was my biggest ever single event win.
Most Heartbreaking Bet
Washington traveled to Philadelphia in December 2019 in a must-win game for the Eagles playoff chances. I bet on Washington +7, and they covered for every minute of the game until the final play. Carson Wentz led a game-winning TD drive to put the Eagles up four with less than 30 seconds left, but a Dwayne Haskins 50+ yard fumble six on the final play of the game, when a return was not needed, helped the Eagles cover the spread and win by 10.
