I'm not the only sports bettor in my house — my wife is an avid Action PRO user as well.

In some instances she uses subscription features more regularly than I do, especially Action PRO's NHL player prop projections.

Specifically, she is very bullish on PRO's blocked shots and shots on goal projections and consistently bets them when edges reach a specific number.

With an MLB slate that skews mostly toward the afternoon and no NBA until tomorrow, I decided to go ahead and jump on the biggest edge on Thursday's NHL odds board for two key reasons.

First, if it wins, I'm rewarded with a winning bet.

And second, if it loses, I'll get some sympathy from my wife for tailing her losing recommendation.

SPOILER ALERT: I'll get absolutely no sympathy from her, no matter what happens with this bet.

So, without further ado, here's the largest NHL prediction edge for Thursday's schedule of games.

NHL Betting Pick for Thursday, April 16

*Odds as of Thursday morning

I'm going straight to Jacob Trouba's blocked shots over/under for tonight's Ducks vs. Predators (8 p.m. ET, ESPN+) matchup.
