I’m not surprised that the Spurs responded and were able to get the win in Game 3, but the spot is very good for the Blazers to bounce back in Game 4 today.
Road teams that won Game 3 to go up 2-1 are 30-40 SU and 31-38-1 ATS since 2003. Favorites are 23-15 SU, but just 20-18 ATS (52.6%).
However, you should probably still wait for Victor Wembanyama's official status before making any wagers.
Wembanyama (concussion) was a late scratch ahead of Game 3, and he is still listed as questionable for Game 4 as of this morning — but if he plays, this line will jump.
Spurs Betting Preview, Analysis
The closing line for last game was between Spurs -1.5 and Blazers -1.5, so this is a midway line on Wembanyama's status.
If we take the Spurs -1.5 line with Wemby out, that would make the -4.5 opener a three-point midway mark. So, this will likely move to Spurs -8.5 if Wemby plays.
Obviously, you want the better number, so wait — but the reality is, the Blazers can win this game even if Wemby plays. They were playing well before he went down in Game 2.

The Blazers have shown real toughness and the ability to respond to adversity to make it this far — and their home court advantage should get them a long way towards covering this number, if not winning outright.
I make the spread for this game Spurs -3.2 with Wembanyama playing. So clearly, I’m going to be on Portland in this spot.
Under 218.5
We’ve seen sharp movement in the Action Network app toward the under and it makes sense.
Both teams are getting better at defending the other’s actions — and Wembanyama could ruin the Blazers’ offense enough to force a team total under.
The under is 2-1 in this series, and while the Spurs executed well offensively in Game 3, I think we see them bounce back with their defense in Game 4 today.
Luke Kornet Over 4.5 Rebounds
Luke Kornet has gone over 4.5 rebounds in five straight games — and even if Wembanyama plays, he will likely be on a minutes restriction.
Kornet has shown he’s the guy to snag the rebounds, and with how much the Blazers switch defensively, he should continue get them, even if Robert Williams is on the floor.
Scoot Henderson Over 17.5 Points & Assists
The books are finally starting to move the lines on these props after three straight terrific games for Scoot Henderson.
Henderson was 8 of 18 (44.4%) last game, and he still went over this line.
I’m expecting better defensive effort leading to turnovers in this game, and that fuels the Blazers' transition offense with Scoot’s athleticism.
I think he might just be a playoff riser. I will once again play his over in Game 4 this afternoon.
