Timberwolves vs. Spurs Player Prop Pick: Naz Reid
By Matt Moore
I love this spot for Naz Reid. I’ve consistently played his three-pointers over, and he’s hit in every single game this series except for Game 4.
However, looking at the full body of work this postseason, the PR combo has actually been the more consistent angle. In the 10 playoff games Minnesota has played so far, Naz has cleared this 18.5 mark in seven of the 10.
The logic is simple: usually, if he hits his threes, he cruises to this total. But I’ve seen some inconsistency lately in his decision-making on specific reads. He’s not just hunting triples; he’s attacking the interior, taking floaters, and finding teammates.
By betting the PR, I’m protecting myself against a cold shooting night while banking on his overall offensive aggression and activity on the glass. He doesn't need to be perfect from deep to get us home on 18.5.
Pick: Naz Reid Over 18.5 Points & Rebounds (-112)
Timberwolves vs. Spurs Player Prop Bet: Victor Wembanyama
By Joe Dellera
The retaliation narrative is real in this spot, but the schematic logic is what really sells this.
I was on Victor Wembanyama's points last game and the ejection was obviously frustrating, but the reality is Minnesota is essentially forced to run their small-ball lineup because Rudy Gobert simply hasn't been effective when lined up against Wemby.
Without Rudy in the paint, the Wolves are a total sieve on the interior. We saw the impact in Game 3 when Victor exploded for 39 points—shooting 13-of-18 from the field and a perfect 12-for-12 from the line—while hauling in 15 boards on 24 chances.
Wemby is rested, motivated, and playing in a clear motivator spot. I expect his minutes to line up against Reid at center for Minnesota, which could open the floodgates for a massive performance.
Pick: Victor Wembanyama Over 39.5 Points & Rebounds (-115)
Timberwolves vs. Spurs Player Prop Prediction: Ayo Dosunmu
By Matt Moore
Looking at the series log: Ayo Dosunmu has hit the over on this number exactly zero times.
After missing Game 1, he’s put up 11, 10, and an absolute bagel (0 points) in the games he has played. He simply hasn't looked right physically, and quite frankly, he’s being asked to do more than he’s capable of.
But this isn't just about a lack of rhythm; it’s about the specific shots San Antonio prevents. Ayo has developed a really nice floater, but you can’t take those when there is a seven-foot-four pterodactyl lurking in the middle of the lane.
Wemby causes massive problems for guys who aren’t elite finishers, and Ayo just isn't explosive enough to get by defenders or thrive in transition against this specific scheme.
With Anthony Edwards finally looking like himself again, the Wolves are going to rely on Ant's volume and three-point range rather than forcing it with Ayo. Aside from one outlier game, Ayo has been non-existent from deep. He’s not physically ready for this level of intensity, and the matchup is purely toxic for his style of play.
Pick: Ayo Dosunmu Under 12.5 Points (-115)
Timberwolves vs. Spurs Player Prop Pick: Julian Champagnie
I’m going right back to Julian Champagnie Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made. He had cleared this in every single playoff game until the last one—literally the night I finally bet it—but he still put up five attempts, so the volume is definitely there.
His three-point attempt rate is a massive 72% for the playoffs; almost everything he’s doing on the floor is coming from beyond the arc.
He’s averaging 28.3 minutes in this series, and with Wemby back in the lineup to draw the defense’s gravity, Champagnie is going to get high-quality looks.
The Spurs are a smart team; they maximize offensive rebounds by kicking them out to the perimeter rather than forcing tough put-backs, and Champagnie is elite at relocating in those scramble situations.
Role players usually step up at home, and the shot quality is just too good to pass up here.
Pick: Julian Champagnie Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (-150)
Timberwolves vs. Spurs Player Prop Pick: Rudy Gobert
By Matt Moore
I’m going to play a bit of a sneaky prop that’s been a moneymaker for me lately: Rudy Gobert Over 0.5 First Quarter Assists.
The reality is that the market simply hasn't adjusted to how many more mechanisms the Wolves have built into their offense to let Rudy make the extra pass.
If you look at the full-game numbers, it’s been incredibly consistent. Rudy has cleared his assist prop in eight of the 10 playoff games they’ve played this year.
In this series specifically, he’s put up totals of three, two, and four assists, going over the full-game line in three of the four matchups.
The problem is the market is finally catching on to the full-game volume, juicing the Over 1.5 to a disgusting -184.
That’s why I love the pivot to the First Quarter Over 0.5 at +110. You’re getting plus-money on a guy who is almost guaranteed to play a steady 10-minute rotation to start the game. Even if Chris Finch decides to go small later to counter the Spurs' lineups, Rudy’s early-game role is bankable.
In this series, his first-quarter assist log is 1, 1, 2, and 2. He’s facilitating early and often.
