Look, maybe I’m just being stubborn. Maybe I’m flat-out dead wrong and the Timberwolves have truly found the magic formula to dismantle the defending champs. But I refuse to believe that this Denver team is going to roll over and go down 3-1 in this series. It just doesn’t fit the DNA of what we’ve seen from this group over the last two years.
I am fully buying into the "Matt Moore script" right now. The logic is sound. He predicted the Nuggets were going to get blown out in Game 3 once the series shifted to Minnesota. We saw that happen; it was an ugly, one-sided affair that had everyone questioning if the Nuggets had anything left in the tank.
But, the script doesn’t end with a blowout. The theory is that the Nuggets bounce back in Game 4, head back home to take Game 5 in Denver, probably hit a letdown spot in Game 6, and then ultimately win the series in Game 7.
I’m leaning into that narrative hard right now. Before this series even tipped off, I liked the Nuggets-in-six. For that to even remain a remote possibility, we need them to win Game 4 tonight.
We have officially reached the "put up or shut up" part of the postseason for Denver.

The Timberwolves winning Game 4 would be the most shocking result possible on this entire slate for me.
I really hope those aren't famous last words for the Nuggets’ season, but it’s the only play that makes sense if you believe in the championship pedigree of this Denver team.

We need the real Nikola Jokic to wake up. We need him to exert his will on the game from the opening tip and stop letting the Timberwolves dictate the physicality—and hopefully, we'll get Aaron Gordon in the lineup for Denver. If Gordon plays, and Jokic looks like the best player on the planet, the Nuggets laying only 1.5 points on the spread is a gift.
