Matt Moore has covered the NBA for 17 years. From blogging and news analysis to in-depth profiles and interviews, to betting analysis and commentary, he has done it all. Moore was one of The Action Network's first hires, and before that, he wrote for CBSSports.com, NBCSports.com and AOL FanHouse. Moore was an NBA Awards voter in 2017 and is considered one of the leading analysts online when it comes to the MVP race. 

Few have covered the NBA in as much breadth and depth as Matt Moore since 2007. He started with his own blog, Hardwood Paroxysm, which went on to feature the writings of many NBA contemporaries across today's media landscape. He later started blogging at CBSSports.com, writing things from an in-depth profile of Andre Iguodala's defense, to commentary on the 2011 lockout and complex political drama inside NBA front offices. Moore became one of the leading voices in MVP discussion, breaking down the cases of candidates and receiving a vote in 2017 before he departed for Action.

Moore takes a bird's eye view of the game, recognizing the complex machinery at work with front office politics, the X's and O's of in-game schemes and the way coaching shapes outcomes.

He is the host of Buckets, Action's popular NBA betting podcast.

Moore graduated from the University of Missouri, and somehow did NOT graduate from the school's prestigious journalism program. Go figure.
