Club football's most important game of the year takes place two Saturdays from now but there's already been extensive sharp action on one side of this contest.

Real Madrid have seen their odds shorten precipitously since opening as +295 underdogs to win their 14th European Cup.

Now, Madrid's odds are +235 at DraftKings. That implies the probability of them winning this contest in regulation increased from about 25% to 30%.

At PointsBet, Real Madrid opened as +290 underdogs before moving to +260.

The market-wide movement is on account of sharp action,  a PointsBet representative told the Action Network. About 56% of the total money is on Real Madrid to win, as opposed to 41% of the money. Madrid also have 80% of the individual bets on them.

Liverpool had opened as -110 favorites but are now +105 at DraftKings. They're as long as +110 favorites at other books to win their second Champions League in four seasons.

And the draw has moved from its opening mark of +250 to its current price of +235. Only about 3% of the money is on this contest to head into extra time.

The most popular prop for this game is for both teams to score, which PointsBet currently prices at -165 odds.

Both teams haven't scored over the last three Champions League Finals.

Chelsea beat Manchester City last season after Mason Mount played a beautiful, 45 yard dime to Kai Havertz, who circled the keeper and slotted it into the net just before halftime. That was the only goal scored in the match.

Similarly, a Kingsley Coman header late in the second half was the only score in Bayern Munich's 2020 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

And 2019's Champions League Final slogged by after a controversial penalty call within two minutes of the start of the game. Tottenham never recovered and didn't score in a 2-0 loss. But, the preceding eight Finals saw both teams score at least one goal.

The sportsbook's -165 odds imply a probability of over 62% that both teams net at least a goal.

Player props haven't been posted across the board on account of injury concerns. Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk had to miss Liverpool's last contest — a do-or-die match for the Premier League crown — due to injury. The forward and center back are perhaps Liverpool's two most vital players.
