Shaun White. Chloe Kim. Mikaela Shiffrin.

You know the names, but do you know how to bet on them?

Team USA will send 222 athletes to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, and we're here to give you everything you need to know in terms of what you can bet on for Team USA.

The Winter Olympics officially begin with the Opening Ceremony on February 4, but some preliminary events begin as early as February 2. All events will be broadcast on NBC networks or streaming services.

Here's how you can wager on Team USA as the action gets started.

All odds as of February 1 and via FanDuel.

Medal Counts

  • Team USA Most Gold Medals: +1800
  • Team USA Most Overall Medals: +1800

Team USA has the fifth-lowest odds to win both the most gold medals and is tied for the fourth-lowest odds to win the most overall medals, with both numbers checking in at +1800. That means a $100 wager on either hitting would net you $1,800.

Norway is the heavy favorite for both titles, checking in at -370 for most gold medals and -470 for most overall medals.

In 2018, the United States finished fourth in both categories. Team USA won nine gold medals, behind Norway's 14, Germany's 14 and Canada's 11. In overall medals, Team USA won 23, behind Norway's 39, Germany's 31 and Canada's 29.

  • Team USA Over/Under 8.5 Gold Medals (-110 / -110)

This number is right in line with what we saw in South Korea in 2018, when Team USA won nine gold medals.

In fact, the United States has won exactly nine gold medals in each of the last four Winter Olympics dating back to 2006 in Turin, Italy. The last time the United States won a number of gold medals other than nine was in 2002 when they were the host nation in Salt Lake City. That year, they won 10.

  • Team USA Over/Under 22.5 Total Medals (-110 / -110)

Like with gold medals, this number is set right in line with the Team USA performance from four years ago in Pyeongchang. That year, Team USA won 23 total medals.

However, the Americans have plenty of history of going over this number. Dating back to 2002, the 23 medals Team USA won in 2018 are actually the fewest total medals they have won. In 2014 they won 28, 2010 was 37, 2006 was 25 and 2002 was 34.

Individual Events

Mikaela Shiffrin, Alpine Skiing

  • +300 to win Gold Medal in Women's Giant Slalom
  • +140 to win Gold Medal in Women's Slalom

You might remember Shiffrin from her two previous Olympic appearances, and the 26-year-old already has three Olympic medals, including two golds.

This year, Shiffrin will attempt to compete in five different events — Giant Slalom, Slalom, Super-G, Downhill, Combined Downhill and Combined Slalom.

As of this writing, FanDuel is offering odds in two of those events — Giant Slalom and Slalom.

In the former, Shiffrin is the betting favorite at +300, meaning a $100 wager on her to win could net $300. In the latter, her +140 odds are second to Petra Vlhova of Slovakia, who is the favorite at -115.

Shiffrin's Olympic Schedule

Sunday, Feb. 6

  • Women's Giant Slalom – Run 1, 9:15 p.m. ET

Monday, Feb. 7

Chloe Kim, Halfpipe Snowboarding

  • -230 to win Gold Medal in Women's Halfpipe Snowboarding

Kim was one of the breakout American stars of the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. At just 17-years-old, she was the favorite to win halfpipe gold and did not disappoint, hitting back-to-back 1080s in her final run to claim the gold medal.

She's back to defend her title and is the heavy favorite to do so. At -230 for gold in women's halfpipe, a $100 bet on Kim would net just $43.48.

Kim's Olympic Schedule

Tuesday, Feb. 8

  • Women's Halfpipe Qualifying, 8:30 p.m. ET

Wednesday, Feb. 9

  • Women's Halfpipe Final, 8:30 p.m. ET

Shaun White, Halfpipe Snowboarding

  • +550 to win Gold Medal in Men's Halfpipe Snowboarding

One of the most dominant and recognizable American Winter Olympics athletes, White is back in the Games for the fifth time. It seems forever ago that White first burst onto the scene in 2006 in Italy when he won gold as a 20-year-old, and now with three total gold medals in his trophy case, he's back for one more go of it at the age of 35.

At his advanced (for an athlete) age, White is no longer the favorite this time around. His +550 odds are just third-lowest of all the competitors. A $100 wager on White to win gold could net $550.

The favorites are Scotty James of Austria and Ayumu Hirano of Japan, both of whom check in at +300 odds.

White's Olympic Schedule

Tuesday, Feb. 8

  • Men's Halfpipe Qualifying, 11:30 p.m. ET

Thursday, Feb. 10

  • Men's Halfpipe Final, 8:30 p.m. ET

Men's Hockey

  • +1200 to win Gold Medal

Men's hockey will have a bit of an unknown element to it at this year's Winter Olympics with the news that the NHL would not take an Olympic break to send athletes to Beijing because of scheduling concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As such, most rosters will consist of amateurs and veterans not currently on NHL rosters.

The United States men's team is a heavy underdog to win the gold medal, checking in at +1200, which is behind five other countries on the odds board. A $100 bet on Team USA for gold could net $1,200 if they were to upset their way to gold.

The Russian Olympic Committee is the favorite at +150, followed by Canada (+340), Finland (+380), Sweden (+550) and Czech Republic (+1000).

Women's Hockey

  • -105 to win Gold Medal

Since women's hockey became an Olympic sport in 1998, this event has been dominated by the United States and Canada, and this year is expected to be no different. Team USA won the gold medal at the inaugural event in 1998 and reclaimed gold four years ago in South Korea. In the three Olympic games between that, the gold medal was won by Canada each time, with Team USA claiming two silvers and a bronze during that span.

This year, Team USA is essentially a betting favorite toss-up with Canada. At -105, they check in slightly behind Canada, who is -115. A $100 wager on Team USA to win gold could net $95.24.
