Jimmy Garoppolo needs a new home and plenty of NFL offenses could use a quarterback with the start of the season right around the corner.
Next team odds are out for every team in the league minus the 49ers, who are fully committed to Trey Lance for the 2022 season and beyond.
Although we're dealing with an extremely low-limit market, the prices on a handful of teams to land Garoppolo have changed drastically over the last six months.
The Seahawks, for example, weren't even listed in the original field, which was released after Garoppolo and the 49ers lost in the NFC Championship.
However, Russell Wilson was still in Seattle; now, Drew Lock and Geno Smith are battling for reps. Life comes at you fast.
The Browns have also gained traction, getting chopped from +1500 to +750. They're a roster with talent, but little stability under center.
Deshaun Watson, Jacoby Brissett and Josh Rosen occupy a quarterback room that was once monopolized by Baker Mayfield, and we're still unsure when Watson will see the field.
Garoppolo has spent four-plus years in San Francisco. He's been great for bettors, going 31-22-1 (58.5%) against the spread.
Although his ceiling is limited, Garoppolo's a starting-caliber quarterback. But what makes this field so interesting is the amount of teams that could swoop in and pluck the Eastern Illinois product for added security as a solid backup.
The Buccaneers, for example, have been priced shorter than +1000 throughout the entire cycle. Garoppolo to Tampa Bay would reunite him with Tom Brady, the two spending three-plus seasons together in New England.
