NFL betting analyst Mike Randle runs through two bets he's making for Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft.

2021 NFL Draft Betting Picks

Chiefs' First Drafted Player: Defense (+101) at DraftKings

I'm getting nice odds for the Chiefs to pick a defensive player after trading back with the Ravens — Kansas City traded its 2021 first-round pick (No. 31 overall), a third-rounder (94), fourth-round pick (136) and a 2022 fifth-round selection in exchange for Baltimore offensive tackle Orlando Brown, this year’s second-round pick (No. 58) and a 2022 sixth-round pick.

After spending the entire offseason revamping their offensive line, the only offensive position the Chiefs could reasonably select is wide receiver. With Rondale Moore, Elijah Moore and Terrace Marshall all potentially off the board before No. 58, I expect Kansas City to focus on improving a pass rush that generated only two sacks per game, ranking 19th in the league last season.

The Chiefs could also add to their secondary, still having yet to fill the vacated spot by Bashaud Breeland. Kansas City also picks at No. 63, and will therefore prioritize its first selection on a positional value that may not be available five picks later.

Unless one of the top wide receivers (either Moore) is available, there is much better value on defense here.

The market is too focused on a Sammy Watkins replacement, and the Chiefs have a history of going against conventional wisdom with their picks. I’m grabbing the +101 number of Kansas City to start its 2021 draft on the defensive side of the ball.

Bengals Next Pick: Offensive Lineman (-320) at FanDuel

I’m laying the juice in what I consider to be an automatic pick for Cincinnati.

The Bengals chose to reunite quarterback Joe Burrow with his explosive former teammate Ja’Marr Chase with the fifth overall pick in Round 1, but they must prioritize protecting their franchise signal-caller coming off extensive knee surgery.

I completely agree with the thoughts of Brandon Thorn of EstablishTheRun, who cited the extensive depth of offense line talent in this year’s draft class.

I absolutely love what's left on the OL for Rounds 2-3 tomorrow. The top players left on my OL board with a day 2 or better grade: pic.twitter.com/jFa5WHW1sK

The Bengals do not make another selection until 31 picks later, and it seems extremely unlikely they would wait until Round 3 to bolster an offensive line that ended the season ranked 30th by Pro Football Focus.

I'm comfortable increasing my wager to make this worthwhile as a prop that is highly likely to payout.
