Friday makes for an interesting betting board. We're right in the middle of Thursday Night Football and a couple big slates on both Saturday (college) and Sunday (NFL).

Three college games kick off tonight, as well as a full flight of MLB games, a bulk of which begin brand-new sets.

Virginia vs. Syracuse is the most-bet game as we all prepare to get settled into the weekend, followed by Boise State vs. UTEP.

However, Red Sox vs. Yankees – and another game on the diamond – is pulling in substantial action, too.

Overall, public bettors are hammering these five games tonight, and we'll note the most-lopsided ticket counts in spread, moneyline and total markets, courtesy of Action Network's data.

1. Virginia vs. Syracuse (-9.5), 54

7 p.m. ET

Virginia vs. Syracuse is the lone Power Five game on tonight's college football slate.

The line has fluctuated between nine and 10 all week, but the majority of the near-20,000 wagers submitted are siding with the favorite.

The Orange are generating 62% of spread tickets against the Cavaliers, as they look to improve to both 4-0 straight up and against the spread in 2022.

2. Boise State (-16) vs. UTEP, 44.5

9 p.m. ET

This mid-major contest is popular in the betting markets, piling up just 600 fewer wagers than Virginia vs. Syracuse.

Boise State's the hot side, moving up from a dead number of -15 to -16 vs. UTEP.

We've logged 68% of the bets on the Broncos, who still have yet to register a win against the spread this season.

3. Nevada vs. Air Force (-24.5), 46.5

8 p.m. ET

Air Force lost outright at Wyoming last weekend, while Nevada was blanked at Iowa.

The public is a bit torn here.

Despite racking up close to 17,000 total wagers, the ticket count is basically even, with 51% backing Air Force.

4. Red Sox vs. Yankees (-240), 7.5

7:05 p.m. ET

Gerrit Cole is on the mound and Aaron Judge is chasing history; of course bettors are flocking to the Yankees.

Red Sox vs. Yankees is unsurprisingly the top-bet baseball game Friday (7,200 wagers at the time of writing), and we've tracked a lopsided split on the pricey favorites.

Nine of every 10 moneyline wagers are riding the home team.

5. Braves vs. Phillies (-165), 7.5

7:05 p.m. ET

The second-highest MLB ticket count tonight is an NL East clash between the Braves and Phillies.

Bettors have yet to take a direct stance on either the side or total, as we've registered 52% of bets on both Philadelphia and the over.
