FanDuel, which boasts nearly 40% of the U.S. sports betting market, plans to launch its own TV network by September, according to a report.

FanDuel notified staff earlier this week of intentions to rebrand its TVG racing channels into “FanDuel TV”,according to documents first reported by Catena Media. It would be the first 24/7 sports betting network in the U.S. and a major step in FanDuel’s quest to become a big time sports media player.

The reported move comes just a day after FanDuel announced CMO Mike Raffensperger will takeover its content and programming, including the TVG asset.

Big Names Rumored to Host Shows

Bill Simmons and Pat McAfee are among several big names rumored for shows on the channel. Simmons and McAfee are under an exclusive content contract with FanDuel. The report details what a typical day’s programming would look like:

  • 5 am-6 am: NBA content
  • 6 am-7 am: Bill Simmons & The Ringer
  • 7 am-8 am: A SportsCenter-style show
  • 8 am-9 am: Pat McAfee
  • 9 am-9 pm: Live racing and betting updates

Late night programming would be filled with more obscure sports like Korean football and Chinese basketball, according to the report.

Kay Adams, the former Good Morning Football host, was tagged with the 7am programming slot, though she’s not yet apart of the FanDuel family. Since leaving the NFL Network in April she's been linked to multiple companies, including Amazon.

TVG is a horse racing network available on Apple TV, Direct TV and simulcast in various cities across the country. FanDuel acquired it after a merger with TVG’s parent company Paddy Power Betfair in 2018.

FanDuel did not immediately respond to request for comment. This story will updated as more information becomes available.
