Californians could legalize sports betting in fewer than 100 days.
At nearly twice the population of New York, the largest currently legal U.S. betting market, California comes with billions of dollars at stake. Consequently, commercial operators and tribal casinos are waging a brutal war over Proposition 27, which paves the way for online betting should voters approve it on November 8th.
