We've explored what +EV betting is and how to do it.

But which sportsbooks will actually offer promos and boosts you can take advantage of?

Below I rank the best books in three categories — promotions, then odds boosts, and overall.

You can find plays for all of these boosts and promos in the Action app, in my Discord, and/or on my Twitter.

Promotions

1. DraftKings

  • States available: AZ CO CT IL IN IA KS LA MA MD MI NH NJ NY OH OR PA TN VA WV

No-sweat bets, step-up parlays, and many more. Sheer volume alone keeps DraftKings at No. 1 as far as promos for existing users are concerned.

However, I'd like to see more users get out of the $10 limit jail.

2. FanDuel

  • States available: AZ CO CT IL KS LA IN IA MA MD MI NJ NY OH PA TN VA WV WY

FanDuel claims the No. 2 spot largely because it brought back Dinger Tuesday, but doesn't get to No. 1 due to its reduced nature.

FanDuel has also done some risk-free/no-sweat stuff on MLB and NBA games but nothing near the level of DraftKings. The targeted profit boost promotions have been nice as well.

3. Caesars

  • States available: AZ CO IL IN IA KS LA MA MD MI NJ NV NY OH PA TN VA WV

Caesars has stepped it up a lot with 33% same game parlay and parlay boosts daily. If they keep it up throughout the rest of summer, there will be a strong argument to move them up to No. 2 but I need to see it to believe it.

4. BetMGM

  • States available: AZ CO IN IA IL KS LA MA MD MI NJ NV NY OH PA TN VA WV WY

BetMGM has really stepped it up with multi-sport and specific sport parlay boosts. They also do one-game parlay insurance and a ton of targeted promos.

Really, they should be No. 2 but they promo ban too many people and offer essentially no promos in New York (I'm biased since I live there, but it's my rankings, so what?). So I can't move them above FanDuel or Caesars.

5. Barstool

  • States available: AZ CO IL IN IA KS LA MA MD MI NJ OH PA TN VA WV

First basket promos, parlay insurance, the new exclusives bonus plays, and UFC tiered bonus are all solid promos. Home run insurance, Golf Winsurance, and a few other low +EV promos keep them in what is probably the strongest I have felt about the top 5 since doing these rankings.

Odds Boosts

1. FanDuel

  • States available: AZ CO CT IL KS LA IN IA MA MD MI NJ NY OH PA TN VA WV WY

FanDuel has been running nearly daily boosts at about 10% EV with a $50 max for years now.

People hate on FanDuel, but the data is there — they are giving out a lot of money on these over the long run and honestly allowing bettors the opportunity for daily entertainment at +EV.

FanDuel gets some extra credit for having some really great state-specific boosts each week and exclusive boosts as well. It should also be noted that Fanduel has been running some targeted profit boost token plays which is long overdue and great to see.

2. bet365

  • States available: CO, NJ, OH, VA

bet365 remains in the No. 2 spot thanks to frequent 30% SGP boosts and some solid boosts relatively frequently. Higher maxes differentiate them from DraftKings.

I would like to see them go back to the occasional -800 to +100 super boosts, although that may be optimistic. Of course, I would like to see them continue to enter more states — Pennsylvania and Iowa should be coming soon.

3. DraftKings

  • States available: AZ CO CT IL IN IA KS LA MA MD MI NH NJ NY OH OR PA TN VA WV

DraftKings has been solid with their boosts. Daily 33% SGPx boosts, GIFT boost and some low-max super boosts sprinkled in. The EV of each super boost has fallen off drastically from slam dunks to borderline +EV ones.

That will round out my top 3 — no one else deserves a mention in my opinion.

Overall Rankings

When I first ran these rankings in September, DraftKings had the top spot. FanDuel took back No. 1 in the second version but now has lost it again to DraftKings. FanDuel would have been No. 1 if they had not lowered most people’s max bets on Dinger Tuesday.

Caesars rounds out the top 3 with a renewed focus on promotions, with bet365 falling to No. 4 and BetMGM down to No. 5. I wouldn’t say either has fallen too much from what they were doing, but just a casualty of The Emperor re-entering the promo space.

  1. DraftKings
  2. FanDuel
  3. Caesars
  4. bet365
  5. BetMGM
