At 13-4 to start the year and hosting an 8-9 Mavericks team, the Jazz being listed as 4-point favorites tonight might've seemed pretty reasonable, at least on the surface.
Of course, sharps aren't too concerned with surface numbers. And that's why this spread has already taken a bit of dip as of the late morning. Our PRO Report breaks down the details below.

NBA Sharp Betting Pick: Mavericks vs. Jazz
The early big bets from sharps have been landing on the Mavs tonight, the current number puts Dallas in a position that's been historically profitable.
Sharp Action
As you might expect, the 13-4 home side is the one drawing most casual bettors. Sixty-eight percent, to be exact, have taken the Jazz as of writing, which makes Utah's move from -4 to -2.5 significant, and pretty much gives away the sharp side on its own.
Still, Action Labs has confirmed the indication with four Bet Signals on the Mavs, revealing four instances of market movement caused specially by sharp action.

Big Money
Some more evidence of smart money lies in the discrepancy between bets and actual dollars landing on the Mavs.
As of writing, their 38% backing has generated an impressive 89% of money hitting this spread, meaning Dallas is drawing much bigger bettors — the ones more likely to be sharps.

PRO Systems
History is on the Mavs' side, too — for a couple of reasons.
The bet-money split mentioned above has been one that's led to profit in our database. Our NBA Tickets vs. Money PRO System has returned a 55% win rate on a sample of more than 600 games since 2015, and as it stands now, the Mavs should fit the bill to a tee.
Dallas also fits our Road Dogs Off ATS Loss system, boasting the same 55% win rate on a sample of more than 1,800 games since 2005 (learn more about our PRO Systems here).
