NBA Injury News

7 p.m. ET Update: Kyle Kuzma will sit out Saturday for the second straight game due to a strained calf that Frank Vogel indicated was a Grade 1 strain. Marc Gasol has also been ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Jordan Clarkson will miss his second consecutive game due to a sprained ankle.

6 p.m. ET Update: Kyle Lowry has been ruled out Saturday, as expected, after being listed as doubtful earlier.

Rodney Hood is available to play "limited minutes" Saturday, according head coach Nick Nurse, as he continues to deal with a strained hip.

5:30 p.m. ET Update: Joel Embiid is not listed on the injury report despite it being the second leg of a back-to-back, suggesting that he will play. Tobias Harris and Danny Green are questionable.

Bradley Beal is listed as doubtful with a tight back and Davis Bertans is out for rest. Kelly Oubre has been ruled out Saturday due to a sore wrist.

12:30 p.m. ET Update: Kyle Lowry was downgraded to doubtful on Saturday after missing the past five games due to a right foot infection. The Raptors will be without Pascal Siakam who is resting and Fred VanVleet who is dealing with hip soreness. Rodney Hood was upgraded to probable.

The Washington Wizards are monitoring Bradley Beal's status as they play the second game of a back-to-back set Saturday against the Phoenix Suns. Per our NBA Insiders tool:

Coach Brooks said he anticipates Beal being questionable for Saturday after he suffered from back tightness during Friday's win. Beal said his back got tight mid-game so he headed back to the locker room, and added that he "had to come back out" to help his team win. Either Raul Neto or Garrison Mathews will step into the starting lineup if Beal has to miss further time.

Joel Embiid is questionable ahead of Saturday' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Embiid played 31 minutes on Friday night and has routinely sat our back-to-backs this season, including last Sunday after returned from a lengthy 10-game absence.

The Lakers have listed Alex Caruso, Marc Gasol and Kyle Kuzma as questionable for Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Kuzma sat out on Thursday against the Miami Heat with a calf injury and Wesley Matthews entered the starting lineup in his place.

Jordan Clarkson is once again doubtful due to a sprained ankle that held him out of the previous Utah Jazz game. With Clarkson out, Joe Ingles led the bench unit with 35 minutes.
