College basketball took center stage on Tuesday night with Michigan State taking on Duke and Kentucky vs. Kansas in the Champions Classic.

In the first of the two marquee matchups, the Blue Devils closed as 4-point favorites against the Spartans, inspiring balanced action from college basketball bettors.

Fifty-one percent of bettors ended up taking Michigan State and the points, and were rewarded with a relatively sweat-free 75-69 Spartans victory.

The Action Network's Brad Cunningham detailed why he was playing the Spartans on the moneyline, resulting in a nice +160 payout.

In the most heavily bet game of the night, underdog bettors were once again rewarded in the second of Tuesday's college basketball headliners as Kansas topped Kentucky, 65-62, but failed to cover the spread.

Wins are wins in sports betting, but Wildcats backers had to earn this one as a potential game-ending Jayhawks dunk, which would have covered the closing Kansas -4 to -4.5 spread (depending on the sportsbook) got slammed home a second late:

And while football bettors won't have traditional Wednesday MACtion to look forward to, they'll have a very suitable replacement with the NFL's Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers matchup.

There are a combined 19 players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of today's game, including Ravens QB Lamar Jackson and Steelers RB James Conner who will not play.

Oddsmakers expect an easy win for Pittsburgh evidenced by the 10-point spread, but sharp bettors are still finding value in the double-digit number.
