Thankfully, there weren't quite as many injuries to key players coming out of Week 3 around the NFL as there were last week, but that doesn't mean we got out unscathed.

This week, we're adding names like Chris Carson (knee) and Chris Godwin (hamstring) to an already lengthy list of injured star players that also includes George Kittle (knee), Michael Thomas (ankle), Julio Jones (hamstring) and Davante Adams (hamstring).

As always, we'll be updating this page daily through kickoff with the latest injury information.

Monday Updates

Patriots RB Sony Michel (quad): Michel was not on the Patriots’ team flight this morning as the team travels to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. James White is expected to return to the lineup after a two-game absence, and Rex Burkhead, J.J. Taylor, and potentially Damien Harris — who is eligible to return to the game-day roster today after spending the first three weeks of the season on injured reserve — will fill out the Patriots’ depth at the position.

Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring): In a Twitter post that has since been deleted, Adams posted the following message this morning: “Sorry fans and friends, I won’t be on the field tonight. I’ve done everything I need to do and proved I’m ready, but I guess I don’t know my body as well as others.” Although the team has not yet officially ruled Adams out, it’s safe to assume he will be inactive tonight against the Falcons.

Sunday Updates

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle): Cardinals GM Steve Keim has said that Hopkins’ Week 4 availability will ultimately be up to Hopkins, adding, “One thing about that, Hop knows his body better than anybody. The fact is, he doesn’t miss football games.” Still considered a game-time decision, Hopkins is closer to “probable” than “doubtful.” Christian Kirk (ankle) is also expected to play Sunday barring a pre-game setback.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (chest): Mixon was a late-week addition to the Bengals’ injury report this week after the team classified him as “questionable” to play in Week 4 on Saturday. Mixon’s chest injury is considered minor and he is expected to be active Sunday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Patriots QB Cam Newton (illness): The Patriots added Newton to the Reserve/COVID-19 List on Saturday after the Patriots QB was confirmed positive for COVID-19. Pending another two rounds of negative tests, the Patriots-Chiefs game is tentatively expected to play Monday or Tuesday of this week.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (thigh): McLaurin’s practice participation followed a concerning trend this week. After getting in a full practice on Wednesday, McLaurin was limited on Thursday and was held out of Friday’s practice. However, despite the late-week downgrade, McLaurin is expected to play in Week 4.

Seahawks RB Chris Carson (knee): Carson was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, but he did get in a full session on Friday. Officially questionable, Carson is expected to be active on Sunday. Carlos Hyde (shoulder) is also questionable and he’s shaping up as a game-time decision.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (groin): Hunt was listed as ‘DNP’ (did not participate) on Wednesday and Thursday before participating in a limited fashion in Friday’s practice. Hunt is expected to be on the field today against the Cowboys.

Falcons WRs Julio Jones (hamstring) and Calvin Ridley (ankle): Both Jones and Ridley were able to close out the week with limited practice sessions on Thursday and Friday, though Ridley was held out of Wednesday’s practice. This is an improvement for Jones, who was unable to practice at all last week before being held out of the Falcons’ Week 3 loss. Both receivers are considered questionable to play in Week 4.

Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring): Adams has followed a similar trajectory to Julio Jones over the past couple of weeks. Both receivers missed practice throughout last week, sat out in Week 3, were limited throughout this week, and are questionable to play in Week 4. Head coach Matt LaFleur said of Adams on Saturday, “We’ve got about 53 hours before kickoff. We will take him up until then and make a decision.”

Friday Updates

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle): Thomas seemed to be trending in the right direction after getting in limited practice sessions each day this week, but he has been officially ruled out and will miss the Saints’ Week 4 matchup with the Lions. Thomas’ next chance to return will come in Week 5 when the Saints face the Chargers on Monday Night Football. Jared Cook will also be sidelined for New Orleans  in Week 4 with a groin injury.

Seahawks RBs Chris Carson (knee) and Carlos Hyde (shoulder): While Carson appears to have avoided a serious injury after his knee bent in an awkward direction last weekend, he is questionable to play in Week 4. The notoriously optimistic Pete Carroll said that Carson “had an excellent week and was able to really show that he was ready.” Backfield mate Hyde is also questionable to play due to a shoulder injury that limited him in practice throughout the week.

Cardinals WRs DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) and Christian Kirk (groin): Both Hopkins and Kirk are officially questionable to play in Week 4, though their practice participation has varied. Hopkins was held out of practice all week, while Kirk was able to get in limited sessions each day. Both are shaping up as game-day decisions in Week 4 and head coach Kliff Kingsbury said of Hopkins’ status today, “We’re not going to roll him out there if he’s not feeling like he can play at his best.”

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) and WR Deebo Samuel (foot): The news is mixed for the 49ers heading into Week 4. The bad news is they’ll be without Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle), Raheem Mostert (knee), and Jordan Reed (knee) and the good news is Kittle (knee), Jerick McKinnon (ribs) and Samuel (foot) are all expected to play. Samuel will be making his season debut after missing the first three games with a Jones fracture in his foot.

Philadelphia Eagles WRs: It’s 2019 all over again for the Eagles receiving game, which has once again been decimated by injuries. Jalen Reagor (thumb) and Dallas Goedert (ankle) are already on IR, DeSean Jackson (hamstring) and Alshon Jeffery (foot) were both ruled out for Week 4, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside (calf) is listed doubtful. Greg Ward and rookie John Hightower will likely start at receiver this weekend for Philadelphia.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring): Jones remained limited in Thursday’s practice, but the Falcons’ star receiver is “trending in the right direction” according to head coach Dan Quinn. At this point, it would be surprising if Jones is ultimately unable to play in Week 4.

Packers WR Allen Lazard (core): It was revealed Thursday night that Lazard underwent core muscle surgery to address an injury he played through against the Saints in Week 3. Lazard is now considered “out indefinitely”.

Buccaneers RB Leonard Fournette (ankle): Following a week of missed practices, Fournette has been officially ruled out of playing in Week 4. Ronald Jones figures to carry the load in the backfield for Tampa Bay, while rookie Ke’Shawn Vaughn — who was a healthy scratch in Week 3 — may have a chance to earn his first NFL carry in a backup role this weekend against the Chargers.

Bills RB Zack Moss (toe): After being unable to practice last week, Moss was listed as a limited participant in practice each day this week. While the rookie seems to be trending in the right direction, he is officially listed as questionable to play in Week 4 against the Raiders. When Moss was inactive in Week 3, Devin Singletary outpaced backed T.J. Yeldon in carries by a margin of 13-3.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (thigh): McLaurin did not appear to be injured in Week 3, playing 63 of a possible 64 snaps while parlaying eight targets into a 4-83-0 receiving line, but his practice participation this week has been concerning. McLaurin was added to the injury report on Thursday as a limited participant and was held out of Friday’s practice with a thigh injury. Washington has already ruled Steven Sims Jr. (toe) out for Week 4 and the team will be very thin at wide receiver if McLaurin is also held out this weekend.

Jaguars WR D.J. Chark (chest): After missing last Thursday’s loss to the Dolphins, Chark will be back in action this weekend. Chark was able to get in a full practice on Friday and he does not carry a game status designation heading into the weekend. In Week 3, RB James Robinson led the team in both receptions (6) and receiving yards (83), while Keelan Cole paced the receiver group with a 4-43-0 line.

Chargers WR Mike Williams (hamstring): Williams was forced to leave the Chargers’ Week 3 loss to the Panthers after playing 40 of a possible 78 snaps, converting his only target into a 17-yard reception. Williams will miss Week 4’s matchup with the Bucs, paving the way for Jalen Guyton and K.J. Hill to see more time on the field.

Thursday Updates

Jets WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring): Officially questionable to play, Crowder is expected to be active tonight according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Pelissero notes that Crowder is not 100% healthy but will “give it a go.”

Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (toe): Despite getting in limited practice sessions each day this week, Lindsay is not expected to make his return from a turf toe injury he suffered in Week 1 tonight.  Based on his practice participation, Lindsay seems like a good bet to find the field in Week 5 after a long week of rest.

Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring): After missing practice throughout last week, Adams was back on the practice field Thursday as a limited participant.  Adams said today that he would return to action once he is 100%, adding that a decision regarding his Week 4 status would likely come in a couple of days. Teammate Allen Lazard was a new addition to the Packers’ injury report, sitting out today’s practice with a core injury.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle): Hopkins was sidelined for the second practice in a row with an ankle injury he presumably sustained during his 10-137-0 receiving performance in Week 3. Though his early-week practice participation is concerning, Hopkins has missed only two games over his entire eight-year career, and both of those were meaningless games for the Houston Texans. He’ll undoubtedly make every effort to be on the field Sunday.

Falcons WRs Calvin Ridley (ankle) and Julio Jones (hamstring): Ridley is fresh off a Week 3 loss in which he played 62 of a possible 68 snaps on offense, parlaying his time on the field into a 5-110-0 receiving line. He popped up on the Falcons’ Thursday practice report as a ‘DNP’ (did not participate) with an ankle injury, and his Week 4 status is unclear. Meanwhile, Jones returned to practice as a limited participant after missing all of last week. Head coach Dan Quinn said today that the team will ramp up Jones’ participation throughout the week leading up to Monday night.

Buccaneers RB Leonard Fournette (ankle): For the second day in a row, Fournette was listed as a ‘DNP’ (did not participate) on the Bucs’ Thursday practice report. Fournette sustained the injury during a fourth-quarter carry in last week’s game, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic. Auman notes that Fournette was on the field for two plays after the injury occurred but did not touch the ball on those plays. Injuries are piling up for the Bucs offense, which has been without Fournette, Chris Godwin (hamstring), and Scotty Miller (hip/groin) through their first two practices this week.

Wednesday Updates

49ers TE George Kittle (knee): Kittle was held out of San Francisco's Week 3 win over the Giants despite getting in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday in the buildup. He kicked off Week 4 prep with a full practice on Wednesday and looks poised to return to the lineup on Sunday night against the Eagles. The 49ers could certainly use Kittle's return to action, with backup tight end Jordan Reed (knee) likely to be placed on injured reserve.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle): Thomas returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since injuring his ankle 17 days ago. Nick Underhill of NewOrleansFootball.com said Thomas was “moving well” during the portion of practice open to the media. Last week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Thomas was “eyeing a Week 4 return,” and that timeline appears to be on track. Thomas’ participation in Saints practice will still be worth monitoring throughout the week ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions.

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (hamstring): After suffering a mild hamstring pull in Week 3, Godwin will be held out of the Bucs’ Week 4 matchup against the Chargers.

The Bucs play on Thursday night in Week 5 and with the short turnaround, a Week 6 return may be more likely for Godwin. Elsewhere in the Bucs' receiving corps, Justin Watson (shoulder) was back at practice Wednesday after missing Week 3's win over the Broncos, while Scotty Miller (hip/groin) was absent from Wednesday’s practice.

Raiders WRs Bryan Edwards (ankle) and Henry Ruggs (hamstring): Edwards sustained an ankle injury during the Raiders’ Week 3 loss to the Patriots and while he was able to return to the game, he was clearly limited. The injury is expected to sideline Edwards for Week 4, and he’s being considered “week-to-week.”  Fellow rookie receiver Henry Ruggs is also being called a “long shot to play” this weekend against Buffalo as he recovers from a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 2.

Bills WR John Brown (calf): Brown was held out of Wednesday’s practice, though details about the exact nature of his calf injury remain sparse. Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Brown was not going to practice, adding “That’s all I know right now.”

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (groin): Hunt was held out of Browns practice with a groin injury, and head coach Kevin Stefanski called his running back “day to day”. If Hunt is unable to go on Sunday, expect Nick Chubb to assume an even larger role in the Browns' backfield with D’Ernest Johnson sprinkled in.

Tuesday Updates

Jets WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring): The Jets have been decimated by injuries over the first three weeks of the season, but it looks like they’ll have their top receiver back on the field in time for the team’s Thursday night matchup against the Broncos.

After missing practice throughout last week, Crowder was listed as a limited participant on today’s practice report, though that is only an estimation as New York did not hold a formal practice today. Still, the status upgrade is a good sign for Crowder’s Week 4 availability. Crowder told members of the media on Tuesday that he is confident he’ll be on the field Thursday night.

Jets WR Breshad Perriman (ankle): The news is not as positive for Perriman, who remains a ‘DNP’ (did not participate) on both Monday’s and Tuesday’s practice reports. Perriman is looking like a longshot to play in Week 4 barring a surprise return to practice on Wednesday.

Monday Updates

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (hamstring): The Bucs’ top two receivers — Godwin and Mike Evans — have not spent much time on the field together this year as both players have suffered early-season injuries, and unfortunately, that may not change in Week 4.

Godwin picked up a hamstring injury against the Broncos and was quickly ruled out for the game.  He’ll undergo an MRI this afternoon and his status moving forward is not yet known.

Seahawks RB Chris Carson (knee): Carson was injured during a fourth quarter play in which Cowboys defender Trysten Hill rolled over while holding onto Carson’s leg, twisting Carson's knee in an awkward direction. Updating his running back’s status on Monday, head coach Pete Carroll confirmed Carson has a first-degree sprain and the team will have to “just see how it goes” regarding his recovery.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero added that Carson may have a chance to play in Week 4, so consider him questionable for the time being.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (concussion): Johnson sustained a concussion in the first half of Sunday's game after gaining nine yards on an end-around. The good news is that Johnson tweeted out an update on Sunday afternoon confirming he’s fine, but he’ll still need to clear the concussion protocol to play this weekend.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (ankle): The Eagles will lose yet another key contributor on offense, as head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Goedert “will miss some time” with a lower body injury he suffered Sunday against the Bengals.

Pederson would not speculate beyond that regarding a possible recovery timeline, but Goedert will undergo additional testing in order to confirm the exact nature and extent of the injury.

Bears RB Tarik Cohen (knee): Cohen tore his ACL in yesterday’s victory over Atlanta while fielding a fair catch on special teams.

David Montgomery has commanded three targets in each of Chicago’s first three games and may see his passing role tick up in Cohen’s absence, though WR/RB Cordarrelle Patterson may be the better fit to assume Cohen’s role in the offense.

Bills WR John Brown (calf): Brown was limited in last Thursday’s practice with a foot injury and he left yesterday’s win over the Rams with a calf injury. Head coach Sean McDermott would not confirm whether the injuries were related, saying only that the team was “still evaluating the situation.”

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring): Jackson was forced from yesterday’s tie against the Bengals in the first half after playing only 28-of-91 snaps and catching two passes for 11 yards.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Jackson suffered a hamstring injury, but the belief is that the injury is not serious. Jackson will undergo further testing today and he should be considered questionable for Week 4 until the extent of the injury is known.

Colts WR Michael Pittman (calf): Pittman left yesterday’s victory over the Jets with what was labeled at the time as an ankle injury and did not return.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport clarified on Monday that the rookie receiver is dealing with Compartment Leg Syndrome in his calf and that Pittman underwent surgery following the game to address the issue.

Pittman is tentatively expected to return to the lineup sometime after the Colts’ Week 7 bye.
